Our monastery, the Iveron Mother of God Monastery, is in need of a Bobcat skidsteer (or similar) or a small farm tractor with attachments to help maintain our grounds and handle snow removal.

Our winters usually bring a great deal of snow—not only from snowfall itself, but because we are situated on an exposed hillside where strong winds drift and pile the snow high. Having more than just a snow blower will greatly reduce the sisters’ workload and help us keep access open to the chapel and barn throughout the season.

In the warmer months, this equipment will also allow us to move soil and compost for the garden, manage the manure pile, dig post holes for fencing, and build raised beds quickly and efficiently — all the things that help keep our monastery beautiful and productive.

We are looking at reliable older models to keep costs low and meet our immediate needs. Your support, in any amount, brings us one step closer to having the tools we need to care for the land that sustains us.

Any additional monies raised will go towards the maintenance of the machine.
